Over the years the proprietors have always had a close association with rallying, mainly through the sponsorship of local drivers. Since 2005 Rainworth Skoda have been the sponsors of the Dukeries Rally. In 2006 the course-opening car was the Fabia VRS diesel rally car which has been built by the Directors of Rainworth Skoda.

From the time they started producing cars, more than 100 years ago, Skoda has enjoyed a rich heritage in motor sport. In the days of the 1300cc rally cars, spectacular results were achieved by international drivers such as John Haughland and Stig Blomquist.

Rallying is a passion of the Directors of Rainworth Skoda - one as a driver and one as a codriver. This led to the development of the Rainworth Skoda Fabia vRS as one of the first Fabia vRS rallying in the UK. The car is still going through its development process but will be out on the stages soon.
